Valais Gewürztraminer Marc
Gewürztraminer is a variety of white wine grape with a pink to red skin colour. Although its origin is unclear (probably South East Europe but possible also Egypt), it is named after Tramin, a place in South Tyrol in Italy. What we do know, though, is that this variety of grape was being mixed with others (such as Riesling) in Germany all the way back in 1500. The grapes produce flavoursome wines that smell like rose petals.
Our Gewürztraminer pomace comes from Valais and is distilled by us to produce a perfectly clear drink with an aromatic bouquet and deep flavour. It has a rich taste and lingering aftertaste.
