URS HECHT Cherry Schnapps

The special cherries Urs Hecht uses for his delicious schnapps grow on cherry trees in Central Switzerland that are 100 to 120 years old and have been nurtured by five generations. In recent years, an initiative led by Urs Hecht has led to some 500 more of these tall fruit trees that thrive in light and airy soil being planted. The cherry trees are given a shake at just the right moment – the fruits are most flavoursome around the middle to the end of July. Having been fermented separately with great care, the cherries are transformed into a cherry schnapps with 42% ABV by Urs Hecht. After five years of storage, the rich and delicious cherry schnapps is sold in numbered bottles as a limited edition. We recommend enjoying it with grand cru chocolate (like an Arriba 72%).
